Our Client Evri, is seeking Warehouse/Forklift Operators to join their growing team based in Mallusk.EVRi is one of the UK’s largest parcel delivery companies, dedicated to providing flexible, reliable, and sustainable delivery solutions. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift truck to load and unload trailers, vehicles, and containers.
- Move, stack, and organise pallets and goods within the warehouse in line with operational requirement.
- Carry out manual handling tasks including lifting, stacking, and sorting parcels.
- Inspect forklift equipment before use and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Follow all health & safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Assist in general warehouse duties such as sorting parcels, scanning packages, and preparing items for dispatch.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse at all times.
- Work closely with the warehouse team and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Adapt to different duties as required to meet business demands.
- Carefully unloading parcels from vans, trucks and trailers onto a conveyor belt allowing the parcel to be accurately scanned.
- Working with conveyor belts and other machinery (when trained to do so) to load/ unloading parcels onto the belt, whilst ensuring the parcel presentation is correct.
- Moving and sorting parcels from conveyer system into the designated delivery locations.
- Using hand-held devices (HHT\'s) to scan parcels following the correct Standard Operating Procedure and achieving compliance KPIs to the specific warehouse area.
- The regular use of pump trucks to move collars, pallets and other assets.
- Sorting parcels into smaller locations and postcodes ready for the final mile delivery operation.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures in your area and for behaving in line with the Evri values.
Skills and Qualifications
- Valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to safely undertake manual handling duties.
- Flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
- Experience loading/unloading trailers using a forklift.
- Knowledge of health & safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
