We require a Security Officer for our client, one of the UK's leading food producers and suppliers of premium, fresh and added-value food products, based in Cullybackey. Cranswick is one of the largest food producers in the United Kingdom and has stayed true to our simple ethos - to create authentically made British food, without compromise.
Responsibilities:
- Control all access to the site.
- Accurately complete vehicle check in/out sheets.
- Ensure all visitors read, understand and comply with the visitor’s policy.
- Ask visitors to produce photographic identification or seek confirmation from the visitor’s host.
- Ensure all visitors accurately complete the medical questionnaire where necessary.
- Issue visitors with a visitor pass and a visitor’s high visibility vest.
- Ensure all passes and high visibility vests are returned to security hut before visitors leave the site.
- Carry out random stop and search procedure as and when required.
- Be familiar with the incident management plan, burglar and lockdown plan.
- Carry out perimeter checks and any other additional tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a security role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- The ability to remain professional in potentially high pressured and difficult situations.
- A sound understanding of security principles.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
