We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assistant on behalf of our client, Cranswick, based in Cullybackey.We require a highly motivated individual to undertake the role of a Quality Assistant to monitor and verify all food safety, legality and quality procedures as outlined within the company’s Food Safety and Quality Management System whilst also ensuring health and safety.We may consider applications from those that do not hold a QA qualification as we would look to train them up.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and verification checks throughout the factory, including temperature, CCPs and prerequisite requirements
- Accurately complete all required paperwork
- Butchery checks to ensure that product meets customer specifications
- Internal auditing
- Verify completed investigation of non-conformances and customer complaints
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene rules in the factory environment
- Assess goods at intake to ensure they meet specification
- Assist in preparation for customer visits, third party and internal audits.
- Any other duties within the competency of the job as directed by management
Skills and Qualifications
- Understanding of HACCP and BRC quality management systems
- Understanding of red meat sector
- Experience in QA/QC or GMP environment
