Our Client in Larne, The Largest British Logistics Company requires experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers to join their successful team and support their business delivering goods throughout Northern Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Deliveries direct to stores and depots as Ambassadors of Wincanton.
- Organisation and accurate completion of appropriate paperwork for each delivery consignment.
- Safe and efficient handling of vehicle in all respects, including the optimisation of fuel usage, cleanliness of cab etc.
- Pre-shift checks of vehicle and reporting of maintenance issues.
- Compliance with all legislation and procedures relating to LGV driving.
- Conducting self in a safe manner and reporting any issues which risk H&S of self/others.
- Undertake any training required by operation.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a LGV licence for a minimum of 6 months and have at least 6 months driving experience, with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Recent demonstrable experience of driving heavy goods vehicles.
- Possession of Digital Tachograph card required.
- Must be in possession of full DCPC (35 hours).
- Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with an ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work under their own initiative.
