Industrial Temps are proud to be working in partnership with Royal Mail, the UK's designated Universal Postal Service Provider, to recruit HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers based at their busy Mallusk Distribution Centre. As an HGV 2 Driver, you'll play a key role in the Royal Mail network by trunking parcels and mail between depots nationwide. With minimal manual handling and shifts allocated a week in advance, this is a role that offers both stability and flexibility. Whether you're looking for full-time hours, part-time shifts, or occasional work to suit your lifestyle, we have options available to get you on the road quickly.
Responsibilities
- Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles within the Royal Mail fleet.
- Trunking parcels and mail between depots (no multi-drop).
- Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism at all times.
- Ensuring compliance with WTD and drivers' hours regulations.
- Carrying out necessary vehicle checks and completing digital tacho entries.
Skills and Qualifications
- A valid HGV Class 2 Category C licence, held for at least 1 year with 180 plus days' recent commercial driving experience insurance requirement.
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DD/DR/IN/CD/TT endorsements).
- Good geographical knowledge and strong professional standards.
- Ability to carry out manual entries on a digital tachograph card.
- Willingness to complete a DBS security check.
- Successful completion of a site assessment and induction before first shift.
