Our client, a UK-based engineering and manufacturing company, is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their team based in Crumlin.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to install and commission conveyor systems (5/6 weeks per year max).
  • Carry out mechanical and basic electrical commissioning.
  • Fault-find and resolve issues during installation and start-up.
  • Test systems to ensure safe and correct operation.
  • Work from engineering drawings, schematics and commissioning documentation.
  • Liaise professionally with customers, contractors and site teams.
  • Provide feedback to internal design and production teams.
  • Complete commissioning reports and handover documentation.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience commissioning, installing or maintaining industrial machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (conveyor experience highly beneficial).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Confident fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
  • Comfortable working independently on customer sites.
  • High level of health and safety awareness.
  • Willingness to travel when required (5/6 weeks per year max).
