Our client, a UK-based engineering and manufacturing company, is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their team based in Crumlin.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to install and commission conveyor systems (5/6 weeks per year max).
- Carry out mechanical and basic electrical commissioning.
- Fault-find and resolve issues during installation and start-up.
- Test systems to ensure safe and correct operation.
- Work from engineering drawings, schematics and commissioning documentation.
- Liaise professionally with customers, contractors and site teams.
- Provide feedback to internal design and production teams.
- Complete commissioning reports and handover documentation.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience commissioning, installing or maintaining industrial machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude (conveyor experience highly beneficial).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Confident fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable working independently on customer sites.
- High level of health and safety awareness.
- Willingness to travel when required (5/6 weeks per year max).
