Our Client, Glas‑Seal (NI) Ltd, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis, based in Ballynahinch. Glas‑Seal (NI) Ltd is a long‑established glass merchant and architectural glass processor who supplies a wide range of high‑specification glass products – including single, double and triple glazing – for both domestic and commercial projects.

Skills and Qualifications
- Strong mechanical engineering skills with solid experience in hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing industrial production machinery.
- Good electrical competency with the ability to fault‑find safely and effectively.
- Ability to work independently during breakdowns and make sound engineering decisions under pressure.
- Strong safety awareness and understanding of safe lifting practices.
- Good communication skills with a collaborative, team‑focused approach.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
- Experience operating overhead cranes or lifting systems.
- Glass‑handling experience beneficial.
- PLC experience with Siemens or Allen‑Bradley (basic diagnostics and fault tracing).
- IOSH, NEBOSH or similar safety qualification.
- Previous experience in glass manufacturing (preferred) or similar environments such as CNC machining, packaging, plastics, metal fabrication or FMCG.
- Experience working with heat‑based production machinery or automated handling systems.
