The Traveling Millwright is responsible for traveling to customer sites to install and repairing industrial machinery and equipment. This position requires someone with extensive MCCH Conveyor installation experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, be able to diagnose and solve problems, and be comfortable working independently and in a team environment. Further, candidates must have the ability travel for extended periods of time, work weekends, and overtime as necessary. Required Skills/ Abilities Performs all work in a timely manner as designated by the Site Foreman Accurately completes projects, paperwork, and timesheets, submitting items as required Safely uses all equipment, such as welding guns, tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, etc. Works with limited supervision and in a clean and organized manner Maintains professional conduct at all times, particularly when at customer sites Duties/ Responsibilities Travel to various job sites to install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment Disassemble, move, and reassemble machinery and equipment Align and level machinery and equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Maintain a safe and organized work area Work individually or on a team to execute repairs or installations Perform all work in accordance with safety rules and procedures, such as OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the Site Foreman Physical Demands Must be able to complete the essential functions of this position: stand, walk, climb, crouch, stoop, kneel, and bend Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time on a regular basis Operating tools, performing mechanical or skilled trade tasks Ability to weld at heights and tight spaces preferred Qualifications High School degree preferred Current, valid driver\’s license with a safe driving history Minimum of 3 years experience; Journeyman Millwright certificate or equivalent preferred Ability to pass a standard weld test preferred Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Deadline and detail-oriented Rigging experience is a plus Ability to travel frequently overnight and on weekends ISI is an equal opportunity employer.
