IRS Group are urgently recruiting a Packer / Inspector to work for our client, a market leader in the blending of dry ingredients. This role involves working within the kitchen and laboratory, where you will be responsible for quality checking mixed products, conducting basic inspections on products and packaging, as well as cooking and taste-testing products such as coatings, marinades and sauces.
Shift Details:
- Training Period: 06:00 - 14:00, Monday to Friday, for 3 weeks (40 hours per week).
- Permanent Shift (after training): Fixed 13:30 - 22:00, Monday to Thursday and 1pm-7pm on Friday (40 hours per week).
Pay Rate:
£12.21+ shift allowance per hour.
Key Responsibilities (Post-Training):
- Verify and document the correct packaging against the product being packed.
- Check and sign off coding to ensure it matches the product and day's requirements.
- Ensure recipes are adhered to, with accurate record-keeping.
- Perform test baking/cooking and taste-testing for each batch, document results, and approve for positive release.
- Conduct metal detection checks and sieve checks.
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area.
