IRS Group are urgently recruiting a Nightshit Supervisor. Our client are a market-leading production business, recognised for craftsmanship and innovation in the design, assembly, and build of high-quality products. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Nightshift Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all night operations, with a particular focus on our machining and assembly areas. As Nightshift Supervisor, you’ll take full responsibility for operational performance during night hours. You\’ll lead cross-functional teams across the machining and assembly areas to ensure output, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. You’ll play a crucial role in driving efficiency and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage all aspects of nightshift operations across the machining and assembly departments. * Ensure production targets are met or exceeded through effective planning and resource allocation. * Oversee workflow, production schedules, and real-time performance monitoring. * Maintain a safe and compliant working environment, promoting best practices in HSE. * Coordinate shift handovers, reporting on KPIs, downtime, and improvement opportunities. * Provide strong leadership and support for team leads and operatives. About You * Previous experience in a production or operations supervisory role, ideally within manufacturing or assembly-based industries. * Strong working knowledge of machining processes, production workflows, and assembly operations. * A confident and organised leader with excellent communication and people management skills. * Proven track record of meeting performance targets and driving operational improvements. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where leadership presence is essential. * Understanding of Health & Safety, quality assurance, and lean manufacturing principles. Desirable: * Exposure to CNC machinery and/or structured shift management processes.
