This hands-on role combines mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, planned maintenance, and manual machining. You will maintain production equipment, respond to breakdowns, and manufacture or modify components.## Responsibilities* Respond to mechanical breakdowns and minimise downtime* Carry out planned and preventative maintenance* Diagnose faults and identify root causes* Test machinery after maintenance and repair* Maintain and update preventative maintenance schedules* Identify and maintain engineering spare parts* Manufacture, repair, and modify mechanical components* Set and operate manual centre lathes and milling machines* Support continuous improvement activities* Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems* Support electrical controls, PLCs, and drives fault finding* Maintain high health and safety standards## Requirements* Recognised engineering qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent)* Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment* Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills* Experience operating manual lathes and milling machines* Good understanding of preventative maintenance systems* Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems* Basic understanding of electrical circuits and controls* Exposure to PLCs and variable-speed drives (beneficial)* Ability to diagnose problems and work independently* Good communication and organisational skills* Ability to prioritise effectively in a production environment* At least three years' experience with manual milling machines and lathes## How to applyIf you'd like to hear more about this role, click **Apply with CV** and a specialist recruiter will be in touch. #J-18808-Ljbffr
