We are seeking a safety-conscious Day Operator to keep things running smoothly on-site. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining the plant and site as well as ensuring equipment is in top condition, and keeping operations safe and efficient. Purpose of the role

The Day Operator role is required to provide support when needed to the process operations and to work with the site management to assist with the general maintenance of the Widnes site as well as ensuring that all site vehicles are maintained and are kept in good working order.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist shift operations team with production as instructed
  • Provide support and assistance to the site management team
  • Work within the permit to work system and assist in ensuring that all contractors are following the permit to work system
  • Ensure activity is completed in line with all risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Complete all duties as Permit Issuer on site within the Permit to Work system
  • Inspection and maintenance of the site's vehicles including the Volvo, the JCB digger, the MEWP and the vacuum tanker
  • Inspection and maintenance of any of the hired equipment on site, for instance portable pumps that are used
  • Assist in the good housekeeping and maintenance on site
  • Assist with the communication on site as requested by the site incident controller or the site main controller
  • Work in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Ensure PPE is worn correctly and appropriately
  • Ensure work is always undertaken to the highest standard
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual employment obligations
  • Ensure compliance with our ISO standards
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements at all times
