This role is focused on a market‑leading AI solution designed to help industrial organizations measure, manage, and reduce their environmental impact on the path to decarbonization. The solution enables customers to move beyond static sustainability reporting to operational, decision‑grade intelligence embedded directly into how the business runs. The platform delivers:

  • End‑to‑end carbon intelligence across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
  • A scalable, actionable pathway for decarbonization for complex industrial environments
  • Near real‑time insights that enable faster, smarter operational and strategic decisions

This role is responsible for building scalable, cloud‑based solutions that delight users, collaborating across teams, and ensuring outcomes that matter for customers and the business. They must deliver secure, observable, high‑quality software across both front‑end and back‑end, using a range of general‑purpose programming languages and frameworks—not limited to the IFS domain framework. The engineer is expected to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and languages as the field evolves.

While this role begins with an AI carbon intelligence solution, it is not confined to a single product or problem space. It is an entry point into a broader AI‑driven product portfolio, with opportunities to expand across products, domains, and technologies as the platform evolves.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and implement APIs, services, and UIs (accessibility‑first), with CI/CD and test automation.
  • Refactor legacy systems into modular, event‑driven, API‑first components.
  • Deliver AI‑native features and improvements across both front‑end and back‑end, using multiple programming languages as required.
  • Own reliability: telemetry, SLOs, error budgets, on‑call rotations, incident response.
  • Participate in DevOps activities, including deployment, monitoring, and automation.
  • Collaborate with Platform Engineers (lean DevOps shared service) for platform‑level DevOps, while taking responsibility for application‑level DevOps within the team.
  • Champion code quality, documentation, and performance.
  • Take full ownership of the quality of deliverables, including automated testing and continuous improvement.
  • Product and customer‑led mindset to support solving customer pain‑points with elegant engineering solutions.
  • Work closely with Design, Product Management, and other engineering teams on product discovery, technical trade‑offs, and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in both front‑end and back‑end development.
  • Ability to learn and apply multiple general‑purpose programming languages (not limited to the IFS domain framework), including GoLang and React.
  • DevOps skills: CI/CD, monitoring, automation, incident response.
  • Strong focus on code quality, testing, and documentation.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills.
  • Essential: Experience in full stack development, with demonstrable skills in either front‑end or back‑end technologies, also DevOps practices.
  • Desirable: Experience with cloud platforms, event‑driven architectures, and working in cross‑functional teams.
