Ultimo provides enterprise asset management (EAM) software used by manufacturing and other asset-intensive organisations to manage, maintain, and optimise physical assets across sites and regions. Customers operate in environments where uptime, safety, compliance, and long-term performance matter. The software is the operational backbone, not a nice-to-have tool.

Ultimo is part of IFS, providing long-term backing, scale, and investment while retaining its own product focus, identity, and entrepreneurial, scale-up operating model.

Why this role exists:

Ultimo builds enterprise asset management software for organisations where physical assets sit at the heart of operations. Our software helps customers improve uptime, reduce operational risk, strengthen compliance, and increase asset performance. The business has strong foundations, a growing customer base, and a recognised market position. The opportunity now is to expand into new commercial accounts across a diverse range of industries where asset performance and operational reliability matter.

We're hiring an Account Executive to drive net-new customer acquisition across a mixed commercial territory. This is a true hunting role focused on creating opportunities, building relationships, and winning new customers.

Why join Ultimo now:

Ultimo is moving from legacy success to intentional growth. Leadership is investing in a more proactive enterprise sales approach, with greater emphasis on pipeline creation, executive engagement, and value-led selling. For the right AE, this creates an opportunity to:

  • Own a broad commercial territory
  • Build pipeline and create opportunities from scratch
  • Operate with autonomy and visibility
  • Influence how Ultimo continues to grow across the UK market
  • Join a business with proven product-market fit and strong executive backing

This is an opportunity to build, not maintain.

What you'll own:

  • Own new business acquisition across a defined commercial territory
  • Build and execute targeted account plans
  • Create pipeline through outbound prospecting and market engagement
  • Identify, qualify, and progress opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Lead consultative sales conversations with operational, technical, and commercial stakeholders
  • Conduct discovery and position Ultimo's value against business challenges
  • Manage opportunities from first conversation through to close
  • Collaborate closely with BDRs, Pre-Sales, and Customer teams

How you'll operate:

Ultimo operates like a scale-up inside a serious enterprise software business:

  • High autonomy and accountability
  • Direct access to leadership
  • Fast decision-making and short lines to power
  • Genuine opportunity to influence how things are done
  • Clear expectations around pipeline generation and execution

You'll be trusted to operate with independence, commercial judgement, and discipline.

Qualifications – What we're looking for:

This role will suit someone who can demonstrate:

  • Proven success in B2B SaaS or software new business sales
  • Experience owning full sales cycles
  • Strong outbound prospecting and pipeline creation capability
  • Confidence engaging operational and business stakeholders
  • Strong discovery, qualification, and value-based selling skills
  • Commercial resilience and ownership mindset
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

Experience selling into operational, industrial, logistics, facilities, engineering, manufacturing, or asset-intensive environments is advantageous but not essential. Sales capability, curiosity, and commercial drive matter most.

If you're motivated by building pipeline, winning new customers, and operating with ownership in a growing SaaS business, we'd love to hear from you.
