To support a young woman with multiple healthcare needs.
Location: Swaffham, PE37
I am a happy 26-year-old wheelchair user who would like to employ a PA/Carer to give my mother some respite from her caring role. I have complex needs, including mobile peg feeding, so a PA with experience would be an advantage. I will need personal care, transfers from wheelchair to toilet, etc. My PA needs to be able to push a manual wheelchair and support me when using stairs (at least until I move into more suitable accommodation). Because I can have some communication issues, it is important that my PA speaks clearly. I can be sensitive to sudden loud noise as I have acute hearing. I enjoy getting out in the fresh air when I can, and love animals, classic cars, arts and crafts, and gardening. We have a small dog and a kitten at home, so a pet-friendly person is required. Ideally, my PA will be a driver with their own car and appropriate class of insurance.
