Job Purpose: I’m a 53-year old disabled lady, and I would love your support with household tasks, enjoying activities at home and getting out and about when I’m able.
Location: Hellesdon, NR6.
Details:
- Assisting me to access activities of interest to me, such as swimming, shopping and the cinema, which will involve driving me in your own car, loading my wheelchair in and out of your car, and pushing me in my wheelchair as required as I can’t walk very far. You will also need to assist me to change for swimming.
- Helping around the house, such as dusting, hoovering and other household tasks.
- Supporting me with activities at home, such as gardening, going for a walk around the block, and craft activities – I particularly enjoy sewing.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Car owner/driver with suitable business use insurance and a large enough vehicle to accommodate my wheelchair.
- Female due to the personal care aspects of the role.
- Confident in a swimming pool environment.
- A love of crafting - the ability to sew would be an advantage.
Summary Terms and Conditions:
- The rate of pay for this position is £11.64 per hour.
- You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
- Hours and times of work: 7 hours a week to be worked over two weekdays from 10am. Cover for the absence of my other PA, who also works 7 hours a week would be required.
- The annual holiday entitlement will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.

- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probationary period, which is six months.
