We are seeking a Production Assistant on a 1-year fixed-term contract to assist with paperwork and basic manufacturing tasks within the Production Team. This is a key role that requires enthusiasm, the ability to work well as part of a team, flexibility and a high level of attention to detail. Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:
- Ordering parts and confirming functionality upon receipt
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels and records
- Preparing customer orders and booking shipments
- Completing quality and customer paperwork
- Assembly and testing of standard products and prototype solutions
- Quality control of products
- Failure investigations, independent thinking and problem solving
- Supporting improvements to the manufacturing processes
- Clear and concise communication to multiple levels within the organisation
Required for this Role:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Ability to work with core Microsoft tools (Word and Excel)
- High level of attention to detail
- A real team player with effective collaboration skills
- Experience in packing and shipping would be an advantage
- Experience working hands-on with product assembly is an advantage
- The right to live and work in the UK
