We are looking for a proactive experienced Systems Engineer with at least 18 months of relevant experience with an appetite for work, continuous learning and a desire to contribute. You will be a key member of the Operational Validation team based at the Indra site between Southampton and Portsmouth, working on some of the largest and most exciting ATM systems projects in the world. The role offers the exciting opportunity to work directly with end users, supporting the introduction and maintenance of operational systems.

Person Specification
- 2:1 Honours Degree level in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Demonstratable experience in dealing with customers
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a global team when required.
- Resilient with the ability to manage a heavy workload, conflicting priorities, and tight deadlines.
- Pro-active in planning, with strong organisational and decision-making skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to see innovative solutions to problems and the enthusiasm to drive them to a successful conclusion.
- Willing to learn new concepts and methodologies.
- Strong collaborative behaviours around communication, appreciating and respecting cultural differences, flexibility to change, sharing knowledge, and goals (recognising objectives for all parties)
Desirable
- Experience of performing integration and verification testing, including development and execution of test plans, test designs and test cases for functional tests.
- Experience of performing validation activities with end users.
- Experience of requirements management and requirement management tools (i.e. DOORS)
- Experience of change management tools (e.g. IBM Rational Change)
- Knowledge of A.T.M. (Air Traffic Management) concepts
- Experience with command-line Linux.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (Waterfall, V-Model, Agile, Scrum, etc)
- Knowledge of software architecture concepts and tools (i.e. EA)
- Basic knowledge of programming/scripting
- Basic knowledge of computer networking
