As we continue to enjoy an exciting period of growth in the UK, we are looking for a Monitoring Systems Administrator (OSS) to support us with our upcoming projects.

Key duties include:

  • Support the due diligence process and acquire knowledge of current Monitoring and asset discovery situation.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current Monitoring Environment (SCOM and many other similar Tools Solarwinds) and IT asset discovery tool.
  • Identify and document all relevant processes, configurations, customizations, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, support functions, and business stakeholders to extract a full picture of the environment.
  • Help determine how new solutions can be implemented (In this case, it will be Dynatrace or BMC Discovery).
  • Deliver clear documentation and strategic recommendations to inform decision-making and planning.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience leading or overseeing Systems Monitoring Operations with mixed stack of COTS and Open-Source Solutions.
  • Technical background and knowledge and experience on implementation of different types of Monitoring (Server, Logs, Application Performance Management, Synthetic).
  • Past exposure to Microsoft SCOM/Solarwinds is desirable as it is a key part of the current environment or Dynatrace as future monitoring tool.
  • BMC Discovery past experience as optional skill.
  • Willing to learn new and lead the implementation of new solutions.
