The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing and acquiring goods and services for the organization at competitive prices and on favourable terms. This role is also responsible for the shipping of goods to customer sites (UK and internationally) in accordance with project deadlines. This role also oversees stock management, handling, and distribution, including matters related to exporting and licensing requirements. The Procurement Officer ensures all procurement activities align with internal procedures while meeting quality standards, delivery schedules, and budget constraints. The position requires close collaboration with various internal departments and demands strong communication and engagement with approved suppliers.

This role is Part-Time at 25 hours per week.

Key Duties:

  • Managing all operational procurement for the business
  • Provide support during Bid activities
  • Management of ERP system & defining end solutions
  • Management of Goods In/ Warehousing/Goods Out (export/shipping/customs)
  • Order chasing and returns and credits
  • Commercial engagement with existing Suppliers to drive best price
  • Reporting of supplier outputs, driving quality and environmental performance
  • Obsolescence & warranty management and reporting
  • Warehousing and quarantine
  • Non conforming & failure rates to Quality dept.
  • Engagement with Quality dept. regarding onboarding of new suppliers

Requirements

Education & experience:

  • Minimum 3 Years experience working within a project management environment (essential)
  • 3-5 years experience in a procurement, purchasing or supply chain management (essential)
  • Knowledge of procurement activities, software and systems (essential)
  • Ability to self-manage & work to deadlines (essential)
  • Business administration
  • Process controls
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015
