Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Air Traffic Management (ATM) team, contributing to the development of safety-critical distributed systems used in operational air traffic control environments.

This role combines high-performance software engineering with the intensive use of AI-assisted development tools (e. g., Microsoft 365 Copilot, Git Hub Copilot), enabling increased productivity, code quality, and automation across the software lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about engineering excellence, modern development practices, and the adoption of AI to enhance software development efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software based on system and subsystem requirements
  • Contribute to distributed, mission-critical ATM systems
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, implementation, and testing
  • Perform: Development and integration activities, Testing and validation
  • Manage and resolve software anomalies and defects
  • Apply AI-assisted tools to improve: Development productivity, Code quality and maintainability, Automation across the lifecycle

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, or similar)
  • 2+ years of experience in software development
  • High level of English (written and spoken)

Desirable

  • Spanish speaker
  • Core Technical Skills
  • Strong experience in: C / C++ and/or ADA,
  • Experience with Python scripting is a plus
  • Experience working in Linux environments

• Familiarity with

  • Version control (Git / Clear Case), Issue tracking (JIRA), Requirements management (DOORS)
  • Understanding of end-to-end software lifecycle (design, coding, testing, integration)
  • AI-Driven Software Engineering (Key Differentiator)
  • Experience or strong interest in using AI-powered development tools, such as:
  • Git Hub Copilot (code generation, refactoring, testing support)
  • Microsoft 365 Copilot (documentation, analysis, automation)

• Ability to leverage AI for
