Key Duties
- Lead the due diligence process and acquire knowledge of current Monitoring/Automation situation and future implementation projects.
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current Monitoring Environment (Solarwinds and other tools like SCOM, Azure Application Insight), Automation tools (Ansible, SCORCH, Azure Automation) and asset inventory discovering (tools like Ivanti or BMC Discovery).
- Identify and document all relevant processes, configurations, customizations, and integrations.
- Collaborate with technical teams, support functions, and business stakeholders to extract a full picture of the environment.
- Help determine how new solutions can be implemented (in this case, it will be Dynatrace, Ansible or BMC Discovery).
- Deliver clear documentation and strategic recommendations to inform decision‑making and planning.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience leading or overseeing Systems Monitoring/Automation Operations with mixed stack of COTS and Open‑Source Solutions.
- Demonstrable experience of leading technical teams.
- Technical background knowledge, and experience on implementation of different types of Monitoring (Server, Logs, Application Performance Management, Synthetic), Automation tools and IT discovering process.
- Past exposure to Solarwinds, Microsoft SCOM, Dynatrace and Ansible is desirable.
- Will to learn new and lead the implementation of new solutions.
