As a Supplies & Materials Handler, you will:

  • Receive, check, record, store, and issue a variety of materials including components, sub-assemblies, finished products, and main equipment.
  • Maintain stock record cards in accordance with perpetual inventory recording procedures.
  • Pack and despatch all products as required and accurately complete all necessary shipping paperwork.
  • Enact Packing and Stores quality and operational procedures.
  • Liaise with QA and the Operations Manager to update or draft new procedures where necessary.
  • Receive, check, and receipt purchase orders.
  • Un-crate, unpack, or repack materials for proper storage.
  • Inspect incoming material for damage and report per established procedure.
  • Verify quantities received against information shown on authorised documents.
  • Store materials in designated areas.
  • Issue and receive internal materials and equipment upon stores receipt of authorised requisitions and return slips.
  • Pick work order kits and respond to counter requests to support production workload.
  • Ensure stock transactions are accurately recorded on the MRP and card systems.
  • Ensure Purchasing is promptly informed about stock outs.
  • Carry out all packing and despatch activities.
  • Produce despatch labels in line with the packing note.
  • Pack Park Air products and third-party items in suitable packaging.
  • Load packaged goods onto receiving vehicles using the forklift truck or pallet truck as required.
  • Maintain the T-Card / MRP system packing records as goods are packed and despatched.
  • Monitor Packing and Stores consumable material and complete request for purchase documentation.

What we are looking for:

  • GCSE grades A-C in Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Proven experience of working in a packing/despatch and Stores environment.
  • Forklift truck license.
  • Competent in the use of computers, including a working knowledge of MS Office applications.

  • Must be able to lift, bend, and stretch as required by the job.

Security Clearance: Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. Please note that in the event that BPSS clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
