What You Will Do
- Carry out mechanical assembly and soldering of printed circuit boards to IPC level 2 and Park Air internal manufacturing quality standards.
- Assembly of wiring and cable looms through cutting, terminating and crimping various power, data and RF cables to Park Air internal manufacturing quality standards.
- Assembly Park Air A-List and B-List radios and sub-assemblies to Park Air internal manufacturing quality standards.
- Extract and interpret hard and soft copy electro-mechanical build to print documents.
- Understand and verify component values from the colour code, including component identification and polarity indicators.
- Accurately record attendance, productive and non-productive times on the appropriate IT systems or forms.
- Ensure standard assembly times for each job are achieved.
- Ensure jigs, tools, test equipment and PCBA assembly aids are within calibration and certification and be proficient in their use.
- Use equipment including chemical bath to clean PCBA’s.
- Undertake a simple electrical testing of completed PCB’s using a continuity tester or other simple test equipment.
- Visual inspection of completed work as part of operator self-inspection.
Requirements
You will have a GCSE grades A‑C in Maths and English or equivalent and experience of the following:
- Previous experience of electro/mechanical assembly working from build information is essential.
- Ability to work within established procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to communicate to a range of stakeholders.
- Previous experience of assembly within an electronics or electrical production environment.

Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. Please note that in the event that BPSS clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
