We are seeking an experienced Workday Finance Consultant to join a major public-sector organization undergoing significant digital and ERP transformation.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the implementation, optimization and support of Workday Financial Management within a complex and evolving shared services environment.
Working alongside business stakeholders, Programme teams and technical specialists, you will help shape and deliver innovative finance solutions that support critical public services.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted subject matter expert, providing functional expertise across Workday Financials while driving process improvements, supporting business change initiatives and ensuring the successful delivery of finance-related system enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Workday Financials SME across areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Assets, Projects and Reporting.
- Support, configure and optimise Workday Financial Management solutions.
- Resolve incidents and service requests across Finance and Procurement modules, ensuring timely resolution in line with service targets.
- Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements, translating them into functional designs and system configurations.
- Lead and contribute to workshops, process reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support testing activities including system, integration and user acceptance testing.
- Maintain accurate documentation, knowledge articles and support materials.
- Work closely with programme teams, third-party suppliers and technical specialists to deliver successful outcomes.

You'll combine hands-on configuration expertise with technical leadership, stakeholder engagement and team development, ensuring the ongoing optimisation and support of critical HR systems.
