About the Client & Role: Our globally renowned aerospace client employs over 2,100 people across the UK and delivers a variety of contracts to defence customers, including specialist training services. As the organisation continues to expand, there is a growing focus on enhancing training capability within the Vertical Lift domain, making this an exciting opportunity to join a developing and skilled training team. This role offers both challenge and reward within a fast-paced environment, supporting the delivery of Apache AH-64E maintenance and simulator training to military customers. The position is diverse, with day-to-day activities varying significantly. Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and oversee the issuing of Academy security passes
- Act as the first point of contact within reception when required
- Handle incoming telephone calls and respond to in-person enquiries
- Carry out visitor pre-screening procedures
- Coordinate with site security teams to arrange visitor access
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and parcel distribution
- Organise and manage catering requirements on site
- Arrange and support meeting room set-up, including refreshments
- Oversee delivery and courier services to and from site
- Procure and maintain site stock and supplies
- Provide administrative support to the Academy Leadership Team as required
- Manage and distribute internal and external communications appropriately
- Identify and report any facility or site-related issues
- Provide ad hoc support to project or functional activities
- Coordinate and manage site facilities including classrooms, briefing rooms, conference rooms and simulators
- Liaise with customer training personnel to support delivery requirements
- Plan, schedule and manage maintenance training courses, including issuing pre-course documentation
- Capture and maintain training data for reporting purposes
- Produce and distribute training reports
- Gather and collate customer feedback information
- Allocate resources for training delivery using electronic resource planning tools
- Provide occasional cover for colleagues during periods of absence, including additional working hours when required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative or similar office-based role
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, SharePoint, Lists and Teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Business Administration Level 3 qualification or equivalent
Security Clearance: This role requires eligibility to obtain UK BPSS clearance. Applicants must meet the UK Government requirement for citizenship to be considered. Sadly, sponsorship cannot be offered for this role.
