Role: Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Location : Hybrid – 60% onsite in Milton Keynes, UK
Duration: 6 - month contract
Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure / Platform Engineer with strong Azure, Windows Server, Linux, networking and endpoint security experience. The role will support enterprise hybrid infrastructure across on-premises and Azure environments, with a particular focus on Azure Arc, Azure Monitor Agent (AMA), infrastructure monitoring and XDR/EDR security agent deployment.
Essential Skills & Experience
Microsoft Azure infrastructure administration and support
Azure Arc – onboarding and managing Windows/Linux servers
Azure Monitor Agent (AMA) installation, configuration and troubleshooting
Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Data Collection Rules (DCRs)
XDR/EDR deployment and management across Windows and Linux
Windows Server administration – AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, patching and hardening
Linux Server administration – services, packages, storage, SSH, patching and hardening
Networking – TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs and proxies
PowerShell and Bash scripting
Infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting and security remediation
Experience Required
5+ years in Infrastructure, Platform or Cloud Engineering
Experience supporting large enterprise Windows & Linux environments
Desirable:
Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates
Intune, SCCM or Ansible
Microsoft Entra ID and Defender for Cloud,
DevOps/CI-CD experience
ITIL knowledge
