Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to support a major, highly regulated programme environment. This is a hands-on planning role requiring an individual who can build, develop and maintain complex project schedules while working closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders.
Essential Experience
- Expert-level Primavera P6 knowledge
- Extensive planning experience on major construction and/or nuclear projects
- Minimum 3 years' planning experience
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
- Experience developing and maintaining project schedules rather than simply updating existing plans
- Desirable Experience
- Earned Value Management (EVM) knowledge
- Schedule Performance Index (SPI) analysis and performance reporting
- Ability to analyse complex project data and develop schedule recovery plans
- Strong problem-solving mindset
Key Responsibilities
- Provide planning expertise across project teams
- Develop, maintain and optimise integrated project schedules
- Deliver planning and Earned Value Management outputs and reporting
- Conduct schedule forecasting and performance analysis
- Support continuous improvement of planning processes, procedures and tools
- Review and recommend improvements to project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
- Engage with project stakeholders and support informed business decision-making
- Participate in planning peer reviews and assurance activities
Ideal Candidate
- The successful candidate will be a senior-level planner who is comfortable challenging stakeholders, building schedules from the ground up, and partnering closely with Project Managers to drive successful project delivery. Experience within complex, highly regulated environments such as nuclear, defence, infrastructure or major construction programmes is highly desirable.
