Position Overview:
With the client being a giant in the aerospace arena, this is an on-site role, embedded within their Supplier based in Cheltenham, with the potential for travel to other UK locations with similar products. The successful candidate must be adaptable and responsive to evolving business and supplier needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed inspections and verifications of complex power distribution panels used in aircraft such as the B787 and B777. This includes assessment of harnesses, PCB assemblies, connectors, crimping, torque applications, electrical testing, and some mechanical components.
- Undertake inspections of various other technologies and commodities as required.
- Process supplier quality notifications and evaluate root cause analyses alongside proposed corrective actions; support continuous improvement activities.
- Assist in assessing supplier capability and capacity for current and prospective work packages.
- Provide coaching and guidance to suppliers on quality standards, regulatory compliance, and internal initiatives to drive performance and efficiency.
- Monitor supplier-led quality improvement efforts and contribute to the development of training materials and resources.
- Support planning and execution of audits and evaluations of supplier systems, processes, and products to ensure compliance with Client's technical and contractual requirements.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of five years’ relevant experience.
- Proven experience in quality audits and assessments.
- Technical expertise in source inspections of complex electronic panels and wire harnesses.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards (AS9100 preferred).
- Familiarity with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies.
- Strong communication skills across all organisational levels.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
Desirable Attributes:
- In-depth understanding of electronic and electrical assembly procedures.
- Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection standards.
- Experience in auditing supplier quality systems against Client's specifications.
- Background in developing and delivering supplier improvement plans, including training and mentorship.
