Role: Lead Technical Architect – AI & Cloud Architecture Location : Fully Remote Duration: 6 months Job description: · The client is looking for a highly experienced Lead Technical Architect with strong AI-specific architecture, Google Cloud and multi-cloud expertise to lead the technical design and delivery of secure enterprise AI solutions within Central Government. · The successful candidate will identify opportunities for AI adoption and have the technical capability to architect and execute solutions, including AI-assisted and agentic workflows. · This is a hands-on technical leadership position requiring expertise in cloud infrastructure, AI security, enterprise integration and architectural governance. AI Architecture: Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise AI solutions, including AI-assisted or agentic workflows. Must demonstrate genuine AI-specific delivery experience. · Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Strong hands-on Google Cloud architecture experience, particularly secure Cloud Landing Zones. ·
Multi-Cloud Architecture: Proven experience architecting complex enterprise solutions across multiple cloud platforms, particularly GCP and AWS. ·
VPC Service Controls: Demonstrable expertise configuring and implementing Google Cloud VPC Service Controls. Key requirement. · AI Security & Guardrails: Experience implementing AI security controls, human-in-the-loop approval processes, prompt protection and PII masking. · Identity & Access Management: Strong knowledge of IAM, identity federation, Workload Identity Federation (WIF) and Microsoft Entra ID. ·
Enterprise Architecture: Experience designing scalable microservices, modular architectures, APIs and vendor-neutral integration solutions. ·
Government Governance: Understanding of Technical Design Authority (TDA), DPIAs, cyber security assurance and NCSC security standards. ·
Technical Leadership: Ability to make strategic architecture decisions, influence senior stakeholders and lead technical teams.
