We are looking for Lead Java Developers/Lead Software Engineers with strong hands‑on development experience who can also provide technical leadership and strategic direction within a software engineering team.

These are not simply senior Java developer positions.

  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate genuine technical leadership, including:
  • Leading technical direction and decision‑making within engineering teams
  • Providing technical guidance, mentoring and coaching to developers
  • Setting and promoting engineering standards, practices and development methods
  • Working closely with Architects, Principal Engineers and other technical teams
  • Contributing to medium- and long-term technical strategy
  • Making decisions around technology, tools, frameworks and engineering approaches
  • Identifying technical risks, dependencies and skills gaps
  • Driving adoption of new technologies and engineering best practice
  • Designing reusable services, libraries and solutions
  • Influencing stakeholders and communicating technical decisions effectively
  • Strong Java development experience
  • Spring Boot/Spring Framework
  • AWS cloud experience
  • Apache Kafka
  • Mongo DB
  • Experience designing and developing complex, scalable software products/services
  • Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, standards and principles
