An opportunity has arisen for a highly organized and self-motivated Project Management Specialist to join the Programme Management Office on an initial 6-month contract. The team supports the delivery of retrofit modification programmes for in-service aircraft globally, operating within an EASA-regulated environment.
The role focuses on resource planning and coordination, working closely with engineering and project teams to ensure efficient allocation of resources, balanced workloads, and adherence to project timelines. You will play a key role in maintaining delivery schedules, supporting Programme scalability, and improving planning processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities:- Optimize and balance resource allocation across project plans to support timely and cost-effective delivery
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to develop realistic and achievable baseline plans
- Enhance planning processes, tools, and responsiveness across teams
- Support increased project volumes through effective resource management
- Strong background in resource planning, capacity management, and workload balancing
- Good understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)
- Analytical mindset with experience in forecasting and planning tools (e.g. Smartsheet)
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work across cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities
- Typically 5+ years experience in resource planning, project management, or operations
- Experience within aviation or similar regulated environments is advantageous
- Eligible to work in the UK and able to attend site in Frimley regularly
