The predicted salary is between 56 - 84 Β£ per hour.
Our globally renowned aerospace client is seeking an experienced System Safety Engineer to support the continued certification of military derivative aircraft programmes. You will act as a System Safety Subject Matter Expert, working closely with UK and US stakeholders, with the position focusing on developing certification evidence to satisfy UK regulatory and airworthiness requirements. At the same time, collaborating within a geographically distributed and multidisciplinary engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review and approve system safety analyses including:
- Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA)
- Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
- Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Common Mode Analysis
Role Requirements:
Essential:
- Degree qualified (or higher) in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in an aerospace engineering environment.
- At least 6 years experience specifically in System Safety Engineering.
- Proven experience applying ARP 4761 safety assessment methodologies.
- Proven experience of ARP 4754 development assurance processes.
- Strong experience in Fault Tree Analysis using RWB and/or CAFTA.
Desirable:
- Formal training or qualification in System Safety Engineering.
- Experience developing Air System Loss Models.
- Previous experience acting as a System Safety SME on aircraft certification programs.
