The Role

As a Senior Clinical Research Scientist, you'll lead two clinical studies while supporting additional international programmes, becoming a key scientific voice within a collaborative Clinical team. Working closely with colleagues across Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering and Product Development, you'll help generate the clinical evidence that underpins future indications, regulatory submissions and market access.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and leading clinical studies from concept through to completion.
  • Developing study protocols, scientific rationale and evidence generation strategies.
  • Analysing and interpreting clinical data to support business and regulatory objectives.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality scientific output.
  • Contributing to clinical evaluations, publications and scientific communications.
  • Supporting the continued generation of evidence as innovative technologies expand into new global markets.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys solving scientific problems and turning complex data into meaningful clinical evidence. You'll ideally have:

  • A PhD in a Life Sciences discipline, or a Master's degree with significant relevant industry experience.
  • Experience within Medical Devices, Biotechnology or Pharmaceuticals.
  • A background in Clinical Research, Clinical Science, Clinical Development or Evidence Generation.
  • Experience designing, leading or managing clinical studies within a regulated environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with multidisciplinary scientific and technical teams.

Medical device experience would be advantageous, but applications are equally welcomed from candidates working within pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments who are looking to apply their expertise to innovative medical technologies.

Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available.
  • Able to work from the Cambridge office three days per week.
  • Passion for high-quality clinical research and evidence generation.
