Full time Position
Reporting to: General Manager / Department Manager / Deputy Manager
Purpose: To assist and support the GM, DM or DY in the running of the store or the department in line with Company objectives and standards. To supervise the shop floor and coordinate employees' activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock Management and Sales:
- To manage daily replenishment.
- To make commercial actions using the commercial reports provided.
- To communicate with the General Manager, Department Manager or Deputy Manager regarding feedback about new lines, product requests and future arrivals.
- To drive sales to improve store performance and to support the GM/DM/DY to keep within budget. To ensure the profit and productivity goals are met by contributing towards the management of payroll hours, sales and P&L.
- To be aware of what is new in the delivery, what is expected on the next one, and to manage the product available in the shop floor and stockroom.
- To ensure that fitting rooms are covered and merchandise is redistributed efficiently and accurately.
- To manage the complete delivery process allocating the new lines on the shop floor and brief the team about them and managing the replenishment.
- To organize overstock as per Company policies.
- To manage delivery productivity in line with Company targets.
- To understand how to use the Stock Management System (Devices) for all product transfers and deliveries meeting deadlines.
- To work with the Merchandising team to plan and adapt the store merchandising and internal mannequins according to Company criteria and sales.
- To ensure that visual merchandising standards and to properly maintain fixtures and decorations.
- To be aware of the competitors and the current trends.
- To deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring all team members are fully trained.
- To solve any customer issues as they arise.
- To offer add-on sales (i.e.: gift cards, accessories, alterations, etc.) and promote online sales.
- To understand and enforce the return policy.
- To support the General Manager in completing the security checklist and to ensure that all security procedures are followed in the store.
- To get involved in the stock take process, the sales preparation process.
- To update the Maintenance File and to support the management team in using it effectively.
- To show awareness of personnel and other controllable costs.
- To ensure that all areas in the store are maintained clean and tidy and to communicate with the management team/security in case an incident happens.
- To know who the appointed First Aiders and Fire Marshals are in the store and to understand and promote the role of the Safety Champion.
- To support the management team in preparing monthly rotas, daily planners and holidays according to business needs.
- To encourage employees' participation in daily team briefs and to support the management team with new ideas.
- To participate in performance reviews for employees (i.e. sickness, absence, lateness, return to work, etc.).
- To support the management team in all Payroll procedures.
- To get involved in the recruitment process (stores outside London) and to drive the first induction of new employees.
- To ensure that continuous comprehensive training of all Sales Assistants is completed in line with Company’s guidelines.
- To be an ambassador in the company’s sustainability project and ensure that the company upholds and works towards finding new, innovative and economically reductive ways to stay sustainable.
