Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Strategy: Drive marketing initiatives and store's sales performance based on the analysis of commercial reports and visual layout. Stay informed about current industry trends and analyse competitors to maximise profitability. Oversee managers in controlling stock, product rotation, orders, and devolutions alongside the product manager in Spain. Maintain good working relationships with product departments in the central office in Spain.
- Store Operations: Maximise store profits using internal tools such as SINT and IPod sales. Control uniform costs, reporting procedures, and company compliance. Act as an ambassador for the company’s sustainability project and report store maintenance issues to the general services department.
- HR Processes: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of working hours. Produce strategies to control overtime ratios based on store activity. Forecast recruitment needs and ensure fair selection processes are followed. Manage the budget of hours effectively while respecting company shift patterns.
- Training and Development: Identify team members with development potential and build a succession plan. Conduct performance reviews and monitor progression. Ensure inductions and training are carried out for all new starters and current employees.
- Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer service standards are consistently attained throughout all departments.
- Health and Safety: Maintain good housekeeping and comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
Experience and Qualifications
- Area Manager experience (desirable)
- Experience in managing a similar retail operation within a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of commercial achievements
- Team management experience in maximising profitability and driving sales
- Proven record in coaching and developing people
- Fashion/textile design qualification is highly desirable but not essential
- Basic knowledge of UK Employment Law
