  • Implement next generation firewalls, VPNs and intrusion prevention systems; conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans.
  • Monitor network performance and capacity; analyse traffic using network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds or PRTG; plan upgrades and patches.
  • Participate in on call rotation and respond to afterhours incidents and deployment requests.
  • Document network designs, configurations, policies and procedures; maintain asset inventories and cabling diagrams.
  • Follow ITIL based change, incident and problem management processes; help develop runbooks and knowledge articles.
  • Work closely with system administrators, security engineers and application teams to support new services and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Provide Level 2 support to the NOCs and Security Teams.
About You
  • Proven hands-on network engineering experience (CCNA level knowledge or higher preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience with Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiExtender) (NSE4 certification desirable).
  • Exposure to Azure networking or willingness to obtain the Azure Network Engineer Associate certification.
  • Strong understanding of routing & switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, STP), VPNs and network security.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration and use of tools such as netstat, tcpdump or wireshark for diagnosing issues.
  • Scripting ability in Python or similar languages; experience with SQL databases or query languages is desirable.

  • Follows industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Willingness to upskill and pursue relevant certifications for professional development.
  • Able to work independently and thrive in a vibrant working environment, with 3 days in the office.
