We’re looking for a NOC Engineer to support real‑time monitoring, first‑line investigation, and operational assurance of high‑capacity lit wavelength and spectrum services delivered over dedicated subsea fibre pairs.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor mission-critical subsea optical services across Ciena DWDM platforms
  • Identify alarms, degradations, and service‑impacting events (optical power, OSNR, BER, circuit health)
  • Perform initial triage, assess impact, manage incident tickets, and elevate to engineering or vendor teams
  • Support service assurance, SLA performance, and early‑life service stability
  • Assist planned maintenance monitoring and service handover checks (alarm setup, escalation paths, operational readiness)
  • Maintain accurate awareness of circuits, fibre pairs, and spectrum allocations
  • Contribute to NOC procedures, runbooks, fault guides, and team knowledge‑building

About you:

  • Experience in a NOC or service assurance environment
  • Strong understanding of optical transport and DWDM‑based services
  • Familiar with monitoring tools for lit wavelength services
  • Confident assessing service impact and prioritising incidents
  • Comfortable working in a 24×7 operational environment
