Indigo is recruiting a Network Engineer to support and develop our DCN network infrastructure across on-prem data centres and cloud environments. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on deployment, security, monitoring and optimisation within a multi-customer, telecoms-led environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Configure and deploy network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Implement and support Fortinet and Cisco security solutions
- Operate and troubleshoot routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP, VXLAN)
- Develop automation and monitoring scripts in Python
- Monitor performance, analyse traffic and support capacity planning
- Deliver firewall, VPN and intrusion prevention solutions
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and network standards
What we’re looking for:
- Proven hands-on network engineering experience (CCNA level or higher)
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs and network security
- Experience with Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiExtender)
- Exposure to network monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark)
- Linux familiarity and Python scripting capability
- Understanding of data centre infrastructure (rack, power, cabling)
- Exposure to Azure networking (or willingness to develop)
