Overview

In this role you will manage Airwave revenue and orders within a global safety technology business, ensuring accurate recognition and compliant reporting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast revenue, review results, and implement US GAAP principles across diverse streams. You’ll support CMA compliance, contribute to system improvements (Quote to Invoice), and drive controls and automation in finance processes. Responsibilities

  • Revenue and orders forecasting within group CV processes using Airwave CRM and Salesforce, plus data manipulation in Excel
  • Support Customer Service Manager to review actual results, forecasts, and identify risks and opportunities
  • Apply US GAAP Revenue Recognition principles to Airwave billing, including month-end adjustments
  • Review and approve core billing, traffic unit billing and reporting
  • Monthly Service Credit calculations, invoicing and reporting, and annual audit thereof
  • Ensure CMA charge control order compliance on Airwave revenue and CMA discounting/indexation
  • Calculate and apply annual revenue indexation uplifts
  • Prepare Motorola reporting including backlog, ASC 606 reporting, and footnotes
  • Finance support for Special Coverage Projects and growth areas (EAS, SRN, growth centres)
  • Involvement in external statutory audits, regulatory reporting, and CMA reviews (including 2026 CMA)
  • Contribute to implementation of new 'Quote to Invoice' sales system (2026/27) including finance processes

Key requirements

  • Strong finance experience with commercial acumen
  • Experience with multiple finance systems and stakeholder management in a matrix organisation
  • Experience with group reporting and meeting financial targets
  • Knowledge of US GAAP revenue recognition across diverse streams
  • Awareness of automation and AI opportunities in finance processes
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, organise and prioritise
  • Commitment to controls, processes and best practice
  • Good systems skills including Microsoft and Google products
