The role is responsible for the real-time monitoring and operational support of global submarine cable and transmission systems, ensuring the continued availability and performance of critical telecommunications infrastructure.

As the first point of contact for network events and customer-reported issues, you will be responsible for alarm monitoring, incident triage, ticket management, and customer communications.

You will investigate alerts, perform initial fault analysis, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure incidents are escalated in accordance with established operational procedures.

This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional when managing high-priority incidents and demanding customers, including hyperscale and carrier clients.

Success in the role depends on maintaining accurate records, following processes rigorously, and taking ownership of incidents through to resolution or formal handover.

Our Network Operations Centre (NOC) operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to ensure continuous service availability.

As an integral member of the operations team, you will participate in a rotating shift pattern covering both day and night operations.

Applicants must have no known reason that would prevent the successful completion of required security screening, including customer vetting and green-listing processes where applicable.

Whilst previous experience in a NOC environment is advantageous, we are equally interested in candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn, strong problem-solving abilities, and a disciplined approach to operational processes.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is essential.

You will be capable of managing multiple priorities, maintaining accurate records, and following established procedures while responding to incidents and customer enquiries.

You should be confident communicating with a range of stakeholders, including engineers, suppliers, landing station personnel, carriers, and hyperscale customers.

The ability to remain calm, professional, and customer-focused during high-pressure situations is critical.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, follows procedures diligently, and remains composed when supporting critical network services and demanding customers.

  • Experience working in a Network Operations Centre (NOC), Service Desk, or technical support environment.
  • Familiarity with ticketing platforms such as Sales Force, Service Now, Jira, Remedy, or similar.
