Zensar seeks a Senior Enterprise Strategy Manager with 4 days in office in London, UK. This is a contract position with the possibility of fulltime.
Purpose of job
Lead the development of enterprise strategy and the most complex strategic initiatives by defining priority questions in partnership with senior executives, shaping structured analysis and strategic options, and advising leadership on choices that affect growth, investment, transformation, operating model and enterprise performance.
Provide senior consulting leadership across multiple workstreams and initiatives, ensure executive-ready outputs, influence stakeholder alignment, and strengthen the strategy function through coaching, methods and quality leadership.
- Accountabilities
- Identify, frame and prioritise enterprise strategic opportunities and challenges, ensuring analysis is decision-relevant and grounded in clear hypotheses.
- Lead development of strategic recommendations with explicit implications, risks, assumptions, value drivers and execution considerations.
- Ensure strategy initiatives deliver against enterprise objectives, maintain focus on impact and surface risks or dependencies early.
- Oversee senior workstreams and integrated project teams, ensuring outputs are aligned, high quality and connected to a consistent strategic narrative.
- Anticipate executive and stakeholder needs, manage competing incentives, and drive alignment across functions and senior stakeholder groups.
- Lead executive-level materials, Board or Ex Co‑ready communications, workshops and decision forums that support clear strategic choices.
- Coach managers and junior team members, provide direction and feedback, and contribute to capability building, methods, frameworks and continuous improvement.

- Key Accountabilities
- Lead the framing of enterprise-level strategic priorities, problem statements and hypotheses for complex, ambiguous business challenges.
- Develop strategic options, evaluate trade‑offs and shape evidence-based recommendations on growth, investment, operating model, customer, technology and transformation priorities.
- Oversee multiple complex strategic initiatives and senior workstreams, ensuring quality, integration, alignment and delivery against enterprise priorities.
- Advise senior executives through compelling, executive‑ready narratives, decision forums and strategic workshops that clarify implications, risks, assumptions and choices.
- Lead stakeholder engagement strategies across business, finance, risk, operations and technology, managing competing priorities and influencing alignment across senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge and Experience
- Deep knowledge of financial services, including customers, products and services, risk, regulation and enterprise performance drivers.
- Significant experience in an in‑house strategy function, top‑tier consulting firm, strategy boutique or equivalent executive advisory environment.
- Demonstrated ability to advise senior executives, challenge assumptions and influence enterprise‑level decisions involving material trade‑offs or investment choices.
- Strong consulting toolkit: hypothesis‑driven problem solving, strategic option development, market and competitor analysis, business case development, storylining and executive facilitation.
- Experience leading senior project or workstream teams in complex environments, with accountability for quality, pace, stakeholder alignment and measurable business impact.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills, able to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior leadership and Board audiences.
- Ability to balance enterprise‑level strategic thinking with pragmatic execution and meticulous attention to detail.
Education
Degree‑level or equivalent qualification; MBA or advanced business qualification preferred.
