Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality adult Intensive Care services.
- Manage critically ill patients within a unit transitioning towards a fully closed critical care model.
- Contribute to service development, clinical governance and quality improvement.
- Support the resuscitation, stabilization and acute management of critically ill children.
- Participate in clinical teaching, audit and departmental research.
Essential Requirements
- Primary medical qualification.
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Demonstrable commitment to and experience in Intensive Care Medicine training.
- Clinical competence in managing critically ill adult patients.
- Evidence of clinical teaching and classroom-based education.
- Ability to undertake audit cycles and contribute to multidisciplinary research.
Desirable Experience
- Previous NHS experience.
- Dual CCT in another relevant specialty.
- Experience leading or managing service transitions.
- Additional subspecialty training.
- APLS, EPALS or equivalent certification.
- Educational supervision qualifications or national course faculty status.
- Good Clinical Practice certification.
- Research experience, including publications.
