About Us
Indigo Graphics is one of the Isle of Wight's leading sign and print businesses, operating from St Cross Business Park in Newport. We work with some of the Island's most recognised organisations including the NHS, Isle of Wight Council, and Isle of Wight Festival. We are a team of eight with strong production capability across wide format UV print, vinyl application, vehicle wraps, and large format display. We are now launching a portfolio of e-commerce brands alongside our core business and are at an exciting stage of growth. We want someone who wants to be part of building something, not just maintaining it.
The Role
This is not a standard graphic designer position. We already have an experienced designer handling production artwork. What we need is someone who brings creative ambition, commercial thinking, and digital capability to complement that. You will work across three areas:
- Pushing our creative output to give clients bolder, more upsell-worthy options alongside our existing work.
- Driving our social media and marketing activity with real initiative.
- Leading our e-commerce websites, getting them live, keeping them maintained, and helping build more.
If you are someone who sees a blank social feed and wants to fill it, who looks at a van and thinks of five ways to make it more impactful, and who is comfortable building and managing websites as well as designing them.
What You Will Do
- Creative & Print
- Work alongside our existing designer to offer clients an alternative, more ambitious creative option, particularly for vehicle graphics, wraps, and large format display.
- Produce artwork for signs, banners, vehicle wraps, and display graphics.
- Bring fresh ideas to client briefs where a bolder approach could win more work.
- Marketing & Social
- Drive our social media presence across Instagram and Facebook for Indigo Graphics and Indigo Marine Design and produce promotional adverts, offers, and campaign content.
- Build and send follow-up email campaigns to existing clients.
- Capture and edit photography and short video content, including for Marine boat wrap projects.
- Web & E-Commerce
- Support for our e-commerce websites WordPress and Shopify based.
- Populate product listings with descriptions, imagery, and pricing.
- Assist to launch sites currently in development.
- Maintain and update sites on an ongoing basis as our product range grows.
- Produce product mockups and lifestyle visuals for online stores.
What We Are Looking For
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Hands-on experience with WordPress and/or Shopify product uploads, page building, and basic site management.
- A creative eye that goes beyond the safe option; we want someone who will push ideas.
- Experience creating and managing social media content with genuine commercial awareness.
- Comfortable with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Klaviyo.
- Basic photography and short-form video capability.
- Self-motivated and able to generate and execute ideas without being directed.
- Practical attitude; this is a production environment and the role covers a wide range of tasks.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience, 20 hours per week.
- Salary review at 3 months based on performance.
- On-site role at St Cross Business Park, Newport.
- Varied work across print, marine, and e-commerce; no two days the same.
- Real involvement in building something; this is a growth business and the right person will grow with it.
