Senior Structural Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of structural engineering principles and experience in the design, analysis, and delivery of safe, efficient, and innovative structures. You’ll work on a range of projects, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyse structural systems across a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Ensure all designs meet current building codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Produce structural drawings and models using software such as AutoCAD.
• Perform structural calculations using Tekla Tedds and other relevant tools to verify design integrity.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients to develop integrated project solutions.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical oversight during construction phases.
• Prepare clear and concise reports, design documentation, and technical specifications.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred but not essential).
• Proficiency in structural design software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Experience with structural analysis and calculation tools, especially Tekla Structural Designer.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Good understanding of UK building regulations and Eurocodes.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience in project management is an advantage.
