THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Rentals and Operations, this role plays a key part in ensuring our branch delivers safe, reliable, and well‑presented vehicles for our guests. You’ll carry out minor repairs, basic maintenance tasks, vehicle cleaning and preparation, and provide general operational support across the branch. This position is ideal for someone practical, hands‑on, and eager to develop their skills in vehicle maintenance while helping to keep daily operations running smoothly.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- People & Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with the branch team, including cleaning, operations, and maintenance staff.
- Follow guidance and training provided by senior team members.
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional attitude.
- Support a culture of teamwork, communication, and safe working practices.
- Process & Operations
- Carry out minor vehicle repairs to reduce downtime and improve fleet availability including:
- Replacing interchangeable panels
- Refitting trims and fittings
- Basic component swaps (bulbs, wipers, clips, etc.)
- Assist with routine maintenance checks such as fluids, tyres, and battery condition.
- Maintaining vehicle presentation standards inside and out.
- Support vehicle cleaning and preparation workflows when required.
- Follow established processes to ensure consistent and reliable results.
- Help maintain tools, equipment and ensure work areas are kept in a clean and safe condition.
- Clock in/out of jobs accurately and maintain clear job notes.
- Suppliers & Parts Handling
- Handle parts responsibly and maintain stock security.
- Follow correct procedures for booking out parts used during repairs.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Full driving licence. Held for a minimum of 2 years.
- Practical, hands‑on approach with willingness to learn.
- Good attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks.
Nice to have: Experience in a workshop, handyman, cleaning, or vehicle preparation environment.
Nice to have: Basic mechanical knowledge or hobbyist experience.
This permanent position is offered working Monday to Sunday, 5 days/ 40 hours a week. Salary £26,500 plus eligibility for the monthly bonus scheme.
