THE ROLE
We are looking for skilled and passionate individuals who excel in craftsmanship, mechanics, and hands-on problem-solving to join our team as Rental Fleet Agent at our depot. This role is critical to ensuring our fleet of campervans is maintained at the highest standards, enabling our customers to embark on unforgettable journeys.
As a Campervan Mechanic, you will be part of our Edinburgh team and work with the UKI & Nordics Regional Team. Your primary responsibility is to maintain our campervans available at all times and in the highest possible condition, contributing to an efficient operation and customer satisfaction. WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
Reporting directly to the local leader, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting systematic inspections of vehicles and diagnosing problems in mechanical, electrical, heating, and water systems.
- Performing maintenance and repairs on campervans and motorhomes, including:
- Preventive and corrective maintenance
- Light bodywork repairs involving spare parts replacement (lightbulbs, windows, side mirrors)
- Campervan spare parts substitution and repairs
- Troubleshooting and repairing campervan appliances
- Maintaining and developing relationships with external partners
- Coordinating vehicle interventions with external suppliers and regional teams
- Keeping vehicle information systems updated according to procedures
- Moving campervans to and from local vendors, parking facilities, or depots
- Maintaining depot equipment and spare parts organization
- Updating spare parts inventory systems regularly
- Preparing vehicles and equipment for customers
- Assisting with reservations, guest check-ins, and check-outs
- Receiving and organizing shipments and supplies, recording consumption, and placing new orders
- Maintaining depot equipment, extras, and consumables
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Education or certified training in mechanics, mechatronics, or a similar automotive program
- At least 1+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical repairs; campervan experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proficiency in English and good communication skills
