ABOUT US Indie Campers is a global leader in road trip travel, operating one of the largest campervan fleets in the world. Support & Cleaning are essential to ensuring every van is spotless, safe, and ready for the next customer, directly influencing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
THE ROLE The Support & Cleaning Agent focuses exclusively on maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of the rental fleet. This is a hands-on, physical, detail-oriented operational role responsible for:
- Cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors
- Preparing vans with kits and essentials
- Inspecting vehicles post-return
- Managing cleaning supplies and consumables
- Supporting depot organisation and logistics
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Fleet Cleaning: clean and maintain vehicle interiors and exteriors to meet hygiene and appearance standards, ensuring consistent high-quality results.
- Vehicle Preparation: prepare campervans with required kits, bedding, and optional extras, ensuring readiness for bookings and check-in/check-out processes.
- Post-Return Inspection & Reporting: inspect vehicles upon return for cleanliness, missing items, or damage, and report issues for follow-up.
- Stock & Consumables Management: manage stock and consumables, including receiving, storing, and organizing supplies while reporting shortages or damages.
- Logistics & Depot Organisation: assist with depot logistics, keeping cleaning areas organized, moving vehicles, and supporting operational needs during peak times.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Must have: Experience in cleaning
- Nice to have: hospitality, warehouse, housekeeping, or operations preferred.
- Must have: Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.
- Must have: Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks (cleaning, lifting, moving equipment).
- Must have: Reliable, punctual, and able to work in high-paced environments.
- Must have: Driving License (Category B).
- Must have: English proficiency.
- Must be open to: Part-time, Zero hours contract Expected hours: 8-24 per week
PHYSICAL AND OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have: Able to perform physically active cleaning tasks for most of the shift, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stretching, and repetitive motion.
- Must have: Comfortable working inside vehicles (tight spaces, elevated surfaces), and outdoors around the fleet.
- Must have: Able to lift, move, or carry cleaning equipment, vacuum devices, water hoses, chemical products, or kits (up to 15 kg).
- Must have: Comfortable using cleaning products and chemicals safely, including disinfectants, detergents, stain removers, glass cleaners, and surface treatments (training provided).
- Must have: Must follow the safety company guidelines when handling chemical products
- Must have: Comfortable working in varying temperatures and weather conditions when washing or preparing vehicles outdoors.
- Must have: Able to maintain cleaning quality and speed during high-volume operations and peak season.
- Must have: Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal schedules.
- Must have: Capable of adapting to last-minute operational needs (e.g., urgent turnarounds or additional cleaning tasks).
