THE ROLE The Rental Service Agent executes all customer-facing rental operations and performs professional RV sales demonstrations to convert leads into buyers. This is a hands-on, customer-centric role combining service, product presentation, operational execution, and follow-up sales management. Across rentals and sales, this role ensures every vehicle, every interaction, and every customer moment reflects Indie Campers’ high standards.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Customer Service & Operations: Conduct check-ins/check-outs, briefings, and provide ongoing rental support. Handle service recovery and emergencies with empathy.
- Sales Demonstrations & Customer Engagement: Prepare and perform RV demos, showcasing features, specs, and customer-specific needs. Ensure smooth handovers and all documentation is in order.
- Sales Conversion & Lead Management: Track leads, demos, and follow-ups in CRM. Convert rental customers into sales opportunities, and support the RV Sales District and City Lead to meet targets.
- Product Knowledge & Technical Support: Maintain knowledge of Indie Campers RV models and perform basic system demos (lighting, gas, etc.). Troubleshoot and escalate issues as needed.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Must have: 1-3 years in customer service, sales, hospitality, rental, or automotive environments.
- Must have: Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
- Must have: Ability to understand and explain technical RV/vehicle systems.
- Must have: Hands-on, adaptable, solution-oriented under pressure.
- Must have: Organised, detail-focused, and proactive in managing leads or customers.
- Must have: Driving License (Category B) required.
- Must have: English proficiency.
- Must be open to: Part-time, Zero hours contract Expected hours: 8-24 per week.
PHYSICAL AND OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must Have: Able to stand, walk, and move around the depot for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must have: Able to lift or carry light to moderate items (10–15 kg).
- Must have: Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must have: Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and peak-season schedules.
- Must have: Ability to interact with customers in different emotional states (excited, stressed, confused) with calmness and professionalism.
