As a Seasonal Sprayer Operator, you will be responsible for operating farm equipment for planting, harvesting and tilling as well as chemical pesticide and fertilizer application in the summer. The ideal candidate will have, or be able to obtain their pesticide license and have experience in operating large farming equipment with computerized GPS and application systems.
Qualifications- Experience working in agriculture (ideally potato or grains)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize machine operating, knowing when to conduct repairs or when to call in for Maintenance support.
- Team player with an ability to participate in cross-functional teams
- Operate and maintain farm machinery for efficient spraying of crops.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate spraying schedules and tasks.
- Lift and handle heavy equipment as required for job functions.
